new to Powerwatts Online cycling? Follow these steps.

1) Estimate your CP20m - your maximal power for 20 minutes. Our workouts are anchored to your CP20m to ensure the intensity is appropriate for you.

If you know your "FTP", increase it by 5% to get your CP20m.

If you're NEW to all this, ride the CP20m Estimator workout in the "New to PowerWatts?" section of the App. You'll learn how to use RPE to estimate your CP20m.

Once you know your CP20m, click on Update your Profile to set your CP20m, Height (in meters) and weight (in kilograms) and other relevant information.

2) Ride the three 15min introductory workouts to learn how to;

• Use the Gauges
• Read and follow the Workout steps
Track your Performance within the workout
• How to play the unique Games embedded into the workouts.

The introduction workouts also appear in the "New to PowerWatts?" section of the App:

3) Complete TWO or THREE Coached Workouts per week in sequence.

Coached workouts include synchronized video comments of an expert PowerWatts Coach guiding you through the workout.

Working through the Coached Workout section will develop all the skills and all the fitness you need to excel in cycling!


4) You'll also find an extensive library of categorized workouts in the Solo Workouts section of the App.

If you want to choose a workout that matches the purpose of your current training program, no problem. Browse the Solo workouts list, read the Workout Notes by clicking on the clipboard icon beside the workout name, and find the session that is right for you.

We strongly suggest that you do a few coached workouts first. There is more than meets the eye within a PowerWatts workout. Learning PowerWatts workouts from at least a few coached workouts is highly recommended.
